This wine is an assemblage of three varieties: Syrah, Grenache and Petite Sirah were Syrah is the predominant variety. Made in a winery with all natural wine making methods – crushed by foot in stone pools and aged in cement and large wooden vats. This wine shows a deep cherry red colour. The nose is smoked, with animal notes, dried leaves, and flowers, stable, mulberry and ripe blueberry. In the mouth is juicy, long, intense tannin, fresh, very deep. Rhu is made in a winery with all natural wine making methods – crushed by foot in stone pools and aged in cement and large wooden vats.

Pairing: This awesome wine is a perfect companion for grilled or stewed red meats, lamb and strong, flavourful cheeses such as Roquefort and Gorgonzola. It goes well with spicy dishes and robust sauces. Serve at 16-18°C (60-68°F).
Tasting notes:
Colour: Intense deep red colour, with violet and blue reflections.
Aromas: On the nose this wine displays aromas of plums, vanilla, raspberries, dried figs lead the way, together with caramel, chocolate, coffee and floral notes of roses, jasmine and violets. Added complexity from hints of mineral, graphite and “tar”.
Palate: Full bodied and broad in the mouth, it is also fresh, chewy, with soft tannins and a long finish.
