The 2015 winegrowing season will be remembered in Chile for being warm and dry. Nevertheless, it is important to point out that the exceptionally warm months during the growing season were March and April. As J. A. Jofré philosophy is led by the constant search of vibrant, fresh and authentic wines, he early-picked the grapes at the beginning of March, skipping the heat wave and thus showing another perspective of the Curicó Valley. 2015 is a wild and challenging wine; being truly expressive and with a mind-blowing personality.
The harvest was a 100% hand picking and the grapes were destemmed and crushed immediately. All the grapes were fermented separate and spontaneously. Right after a short cold maceration for 3-4 hours, the juice was drained to a different tank for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation.
