Cauquenina means “girl from cauquenes”. This blend comes from non-irrigated old vines, planted on ancient red granite slopes. Carignan, País, Carménère, Malbec and Syrah, around the town of Cauquenes, deep in a not well known or shown part of our history and viticultural tradition.

Pairing: This wine is a perfect companion for grilled or stewed red meats, lamb and strong, flavourful cheeses such as Roquefort and Gorgonzola. It goes very well with spicy dishes and robust sauces. Serve at 16-18°C (60-68°F).
Tasting notes:
Colour: This wine shows a beautiful dark ruby-red colour with violet highlights.
Aromas: Outstanding fruit, with a nose full of red berries, red currant, black cherry, and blueberry. Spices like black pepper, tea leaves. Notes of graphite and hints of violets framed its great complexity.
Palate: Ffresh black and red fruit, revealing a full-bodied wine. This wine opens generously, very silky and lush on the palate. In mid palate is round and velvety with very fine tannins and the excellent acidity enhance its liveliness and balance. Decanting is recommended.
