von Siebenthal Carabantes

von Siebenthal, Carabantes, 750 ml
Variety: Syrah
Viña von Siebenthal, Panquehue, Aconcagua Valley
Composition: 85% Syrah and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage: 2010
Oenologist: Mauro von Siebenthal & Darwin Oyarce

Pairing:   This assemblage wine loves grilled dishes, as the nature of the meat mirrors the bitter edge of the tannin in the wine. Serve at 16-18°C.

Tasting notes:

Colour: Deep ruby red colour with violet reflections.
Aromas: It has a subtle red currant and redberry-scented bouquet with touches of sous-bois, hazelnut and aromatic herbs that are very attractive.
Palate: The palate is medium-bodied with subtle tannins and pure red berry fruit mixed with black pepper, sage and cured meats. It is very well-balanced and fresh, the finish supple and in tune with the oak.

Category:

As the legend goes it was don Francisco de Carabantes, a Dominican friar, who brought the first grapevines to Chile mid XVI century. We have paid homage to the memory of Carabantes by dedicating his name on our Syrah label. Characterized by intense aromas of violet, rosemary and blueberries, our Syrah embodies a strong personality witch makes it unique. A very elegantly structured wine of fine tannins which can be laid down and stored for 10 to 12 years.
