ALWA Limited Edition. Alwa is the name that the Aymara culture gave to dawn, the break of a new day without knowing what was going to happen. That is the inspiration for the creation of unique wines that reflect the spirit that pushes us to always go even further beyond in the search of authentic wines, that express the best combination of each vineyard and it’s variety following our instincts at the elaboration of high quality fine wines. This wine come from a vineyard in Peumo, which is located in Chile’s central area, approximately 60 km (37 mi) from the Pacific Ocean and situated at an average of 340 m (1,115 ft) above sea level, although there is a 200m (656 ft) difference in altitude between the lowest and highest plantations. The vineyard is greatly influenced by the Cachapoal River, which allows cool sea breezes to enter the valley in the evenings.
