Pairing: This wine is great with all kinds of meat, especially game and lamb. Serve at 18°–20ºC (64°–68°F)

Tasting notes:

Appearance: Deep and attractive red colour with violet shades.

Aromas: Expressive and fruity aromas with hint of blackberries and cherries in harmony with sweet spices and some toasted notes.

Palate: Rich structure; ripe and sweet tannins in suitable balance with its fruity flavours and its meat notes, filling the palate with a burst of flavour and leaving a pleasant ending.

The Syrah 4.090 was harvested in april 2008 and bottled at 2010. The fermentation of this wine was done in stainless steel tanks. Two days of cold pre-fermentation maceration at 7º to 8º C; 8 days of alcoholic fermentation with temperatures between 24º and 28º C, lowering towards the end of the process. Then a 10 days of post-fermentation maceration at 20 ºC. The total skin of wine contact time was of 20 days. A 30% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels (one to three years old). The remaining 70% of wine was aged in stainless steel tanks. The malolactic fermentation was spontaneously performed during its ageing. It is an unfiltered wine and may present some natural sediment.
