The Riesling and Gewürztraminer Lafken wines are produced in Los Morros cellar though the grapes come from the Casablanca Valley. In 2010 Miguel and Alexandra had already become established in Chile. However, they started to miss the wines they had produced and drunk in Germany. Miguel began searching for suitable grapes in the valleys with a cooler climate.

He discovered two small plots in the Lo Ovalle, Casablanca area not far from his home vineyard. Prior to this the grapes from here had been bought by big wineries for blending Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay but had never been used for one specific wine made at a single vineyard. After evaluating the many problems, which arise in Chile when putting an unknown wine on to the market, such as unpronounceable names, Miguel decided to go ahead and make a wine of the two greatest Northern European varieties in the purest German style. The results exceed all expectations and are very popular on the German market too.
