Amongst the best wines being produced in Chile, Antiyal is a handcrafted wine from the owner and winemaker Álvaro Espinoza. Made from organic grapes of Carménère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, all 100% from Huelquén at the foothills of the Maipo Alto Valley. Aged in French barrels for twelve months and then cellared in the bottle for six months. Less than 1,000 six-packs are produced yearly.
Antiyal 2010 was awarded 93 points from the Wine Advocate: “Very expressive: well defined bouquet with blackberry leaf, crushed stone and limestone. The palate is medium bodied with super-fine tannins. It is very well balanced with grace and poise towards the natural, refined blackberry and sea salt tinged finish… another beautiful wine from Alvaro.” Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, December 2012
